Sara's Bible with a New Cover!

I wanted to wait until Sara got her book back to post this so as not to ruin the surprise. But now that she has it and more importantly likes it, I feel safe to show off my handy work.

Sara contacted me a couple of weeks ago about repairing the binding on her much loved Bible. I accepted the challenge and had some thinking to do. I had forgotten not only how thick Bibles are but how thin their pages are. I wish I had taken before/after shots now that I think about it. Any who...After much research and pondering I came up with a nice sturdy hardcover for Sara's Bible. I hand embroidered her name on the front to personalize it just for her. The colors were inspired by the above photo of adorable Sona and Sara.
